The story of Silent Breeze

Arjuna Shakya
Arjuna and Shakya met at the Open Sky House, a spiritual
community near Cologne, Germany, where they began
improvising together with other musicians during public
concerts. Inspired and touched by these meetings, they started
recording improvisations. The beauty of those little musical
diamonds that emerged surprised both of them. Soon the idea
came up to compile the quietest pieces onto a meditative CD, Silent Breeze.

Thus all of the music you hear on this CD has been created
spontaneously without a pre-composed structure, in “one shot”
so to speak. All pieces carry the vivid spark of the moment, out
of which Arjuna and Shakya draw their inspiration. In fact, the
music points towards that which you can sense in-between and
behind the single sounds: empty space which gives birth to the
flow of life; where there is nothing to do, and where nothing can
be reached. Loving presence. May listening to this music guide
you to feel the healing space around you and in the depth of
your heart!

Review in Osho Times (German edition) - October 2010
"Arjuna and Shakya's music enchants by its extraordinary instrumentation:
instead of wobbling synthesizer sounds you find yourself in the
sensitive meeting of a violoncello and a celtic harp. Both
Arjuna (harp) and Shakya (cello) grew up in a families of musicians.
So it is not amazing that both are masters of their instrument.
Their music opens up a space of healing vastness and harmony.
It invites you to meditation or relaxation and provides the perfect
soundscape for rebalancing and massage sessions. All pieces have
emerged out of free improvisation - all the more Arjuna and Shakya's
play suprises by its intensity and effortlessness."
